Nissan Production in UK Set for Big Expansion

When Nissan debuted the INVITATION Concept at the Geneva Motor Show in March it was immediately rumored for a release in the United Kingdom, and would be headed for production at the automaker's Sunderland facility. Well, the rumors were pretty close. A new, compact car will be rolling off the line to hit the European marketplace by the end of next year.

For those who own an electric vehicle like the Nissan LEAF, one of the few downsides is finding a charging station outside your local network. It greatly deters a long road trip or any long-distance travel due to the uncertainty of not knowing where a station might be. That's where Adopt a Charger comes in, and Nissan was among the first to tackle the issue of installing more charging stations in California.

The countdown is on. Within a little over a year, roughly 75 percent of the Nissan models available at Freedom Nissan will be completely refreshed. This might sound a little unattainable. However, Freedom Nissan is happy to tell you they're already well on their way.

Freedom Nissan located conveniently at 1095 Shelburne Road South Burlington, VT 05403 has been eagerly awaiting April's New York International Auto Show since fall 2011 when Nissan first released spy shots of the forthcoming 2013 Altima. If you saw that initial image, you remember that two of the most standout changes were the car's redesigned grille and trunk. Both seem at least somewhat inspired by the 2012 Nissan Maxima - understated yet sophisticated.

The new year may be just two months old, but already it has proven to be fruitful for Nissan as January 2012 sales increased an impressive 10.4 percent over January 2011. Once again proving its popularity in North America, Nissan Division sales also increased 12.5 percent.

Nissan recently unveiled a new addition to its North American lineup in Chicago on February 8, the 2013 Nissan NV200. The NV200 has been a mainstay in 40 countries worldwide, and initial reviews in the Windy City were overwhelmingly positive.

If you're among the many Nissan enthusiasts in the greater Burlington area who like to park it on the couch with your some delicious, salty snacks and a few cold ones, and watch your favorite college football team trounce their rivals, you should definitely consider entering the latest photo contest from Nissan. Held in collaboration with Heisman-award-winning Desmond Howard, it provides the opportunity for four lucky fans to score big.

You'd have to be living in complete isolation not to have heard of the LEAF - Nissan's ground-breaking electric car designed for urban drivers looking to eliminate their reliance on foreign oil and dramatically lighten their carbon footprint... It's thanks to the LEAF that Nissan is credited with pioneering the EV industry and introducing the first mass-produced electric vehicle to the market.

That said. Not all eco-minded drivers live in metropolitan areas. So, as to not leave out their rural friends, Nissan is now...
